Kyle Hanson (Black Belt)Kyle Hanson started his jiu-jitsu experience with Gracie Barra in Anchorage, Alaska under head instructor Ted Stickel. In 2008 Kyle moved to Portland, Oregon where he began his training with Eric Hemphill. With a similar passion and vision for jiu-jitsu Kyle and Eric soon partnered to form Nemesis Jiu-Jitsu.

Daniel Krug (Brown Belt)Daniel Krug volunteers his time as Primary Coach for Muai Thai kickboxing and No Gi Jiu-Jitsu. Blending the two together is what most people see as MMA in todays fight arena. Daniel has been training in Kickboxing and Muai Thai for ten years. As a recent recipient of a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Daniel has a notorious blend of movement and pressure. As a blue belt in 2005 he began training with Eric Hemphill to enter the arena of Mixed Martial Arts. His expertise is on "no-gi" with an emphasis on position and escape.

Adam Fox (Brown Belt)Adam Fox started his journey in the late 90's shortly after meeting Eric at his garage where Adam's was quickly humbled after a short exchange of words. Almost a decade later after a long hiatus as a blue belt Adam was given his Purple Belt after only 6 months of training. As an instructor Adam's unique articulate teaching style has secured him as a valuable asset to the Nemesis Team.

Stewart Sackett (Purple Belt)Stewart Sackett has been a student of Eric Hemphill since 2006 and is our Youth Jiu-Jitsu instructor. Stewart has 5 years of experience as a preschool teacher and is currently working to complete his degree in Early Childhood Education. Stewart has been instructing youth Jiu-Jitsu classes since 2008.

The School
Nemesis Jiu Jitsu was started in January, 2010 in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon. We feature over 2400 sq feet of facility including men's and women's locker room, shower, 1200 sq ft of mat space, plus a fully stocked retail center featuring clothing by CombatCorner, Fairtex, Built2Fight, and our very own Nemesis Line!
